I began my woodworking career early on—following my dad around with an assortment of mini tools trying to help whenever possible. Then, to my fathers' surprise, taking his materials for myself later on. Since that time, I’ve become more disciplined in my woodworking skills.
In grade school, I dabbled in anything that had to do with custom creations: woodworking, welding, metal works, silversmithing, auto mechanics, autobody, & anything else that required ingenuity, engineering and craftsmanship. I continued my education at Grand View University, where I studied business and dreamt of putting my own woodworking skills to use in the business world.
Woodworking and furniture-making employ my attention to the most minute details. Every board and piece must lie perfectly. Every surface and edge must be attended to. I have a fine appreciation for various wood species, the more unique and beautiful the better.
I feel that craftsmanship, and especially fine handmade furniture, have become a rarity in the world today. I am determined to keep up the integrity of handmade pieces, in a fight against the manufactured disposable pieces that dominate the world today.
I am constantly researching the best, most effective tools and the strongest, most beautiful materials. I take time to perfect every minute detail. I thoroughly enjoy my work, from the blueprint drawings to the final finishing touches. Please browse through my collections or contact me for information on custom creations.
